Description
Recombinant Mouse USAG-1 (SOSTDC1) Protein
The Recombinant Mouse USAG-1 (SOSTDC1) Protein is an E. coli-derived glycoprotein, expressed from Phe24–Ser206 with an N-terminal Met. This high-purity (>95%) protein is validated for bioactivity and functional assays, making it ideal for research on BMP/Wnt signaling, tooth and bone development, and developmental biology studies.
Key Features & Benefits of Mouse USAG-1
- High-purity recombinant protein (>95% by SDS-PAGE, Coomassie® Blue staining)
- Validated bioactivity ensures reliable and reproducible experimental results
- Derived from E. coli expression system for consistent lot-to-lot quality
- Low endotoxin level: <0.10 EU per µg of protein (LAL method)
- Lyophilized format with long-term stability (-20 to -70 °C)
- Functional in BMP/Wnt signaling, tooth and bone development research
- Unconjugated, suitable for downstream assays, ELISA, and protein interaction studies

Background
USAG1 (Uterine Sensitization-Associated Gene 1), also known as SOSTDC1, WISE, or Ectodin, is a secreted monomeric glycoprotein and a member of the sclerostin family of BMP antagonists. It plays a critical role in regulating BMP and Wnt signaling during kidney, tooth, and mammary tissue development. USAG1 contains a cystine knot domain, binds BMP-2, -4, -6, -7, and LRP5/6, and modulates apoptosis and organogenesis. Mouse USAG1 shares high sequence identity with human (97%) and rat (99.5%) orthologs.
Applications of The Mouse USAG-1
- Functional ELISA for BMP/Wnt pathway studies
- Tooth morphogenesis and bone development research
- In vitro bioactivity and ligand-binding assays
- Developmental biology and organogenesis studies
Formulation & Reconstitution
Lyophilized from a 0.2 µm filtered HCl solution. Reconstitute at 250 µg/mL in 4 mM HCl. Follow sterile handling procedures and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shipping & Storage
