I’ve recently had the opportunity to extensively test the Hi10 intraoral scanner for almost all aspects of dentistry, including single implants, implant bridges, full arch implants, crown/ bridge, and aligners. As a satisfied Medit user, owning both the I500 and I700, and having experience with top-tier scanners like the Medit I900, Trios 5, and Primescan, I feel confident in sharing my honest feedback.
The Hi10 scanner offers several significant advantages:
👍1- Speed and Accuracy: It’s noticeably faster than the I500 and, while not as quick as the I700, it delivers accurate scans for all types of restorations, including complex full arch implant cases.
👍2- User-Friendly Software: The software is incredibly easy to learn and use. My entire team was able to start scanning without any additional training or demos. It provides all the necessary tools for efficient scanning without the hassle of unnecessary tools. of course it comes behind Medit in additional apps.
👍3- Rapid Heating: The efficient heating system allows for immediate scanning, eliminating any waiting time [unlike Medite scanners]
👍4- The bite registration process is quick and straightforward with no time for optimization

👎5- if the scanner disconnects during a scan, you’ll need to restart the application, which can be inconvenient.
👎6- Performance Under Load: During Big scans, such as full arch upper and lower implants, the software may experience occasional frame rate drops. However, the final scan results remain accurate.
👎7- for orthodontists who want to use it for aligners, it takes some effort and time to scan sub-contact areas.
👌In conclusion, I recommend the Hi10 scanner to dental professionals who are ready to embrace digital dentistry. I have this scanner for about one year now , when I first used it , my main interest was the speed and accuracy, and whether I may face any issues operating the scanner, as the market is flooded with Chinese brands, I was abit worried . I used the scanner in single implants, single crowns, and I made some anterior cast posts as well, they went very nice . I used the scanner in full arch cases and multiple crowns on naturals and on implants, I have not got any negative feedbacks from the lab or from us while using the Hi10 scanner, actually I liked its speed ( did not expect it to be ), and the hardware requirements for the laptop needed is fair . This is my experiment and concerns I had about the Hi10 scanner prior to using it and after. In my opinion , this scanner in regard to its amazing price will definitely give more chances to many dentists to to have its own IOS.
