Description

GC MI Paste Plus Remineralising Cream 5x35ml Package

Bioavailable calcium and phosphate, with fluoride

MI Paste Plus is a professional topical remineralising cream formulated with bioavailable calcium, phosphate, and 900 ppm fluoride. It incorporates Recaldent (CPP-ACP) technology, derived from milk casein, to stabilise and deliver essential ions directly to enamel and dentine surfaces.

CPP-ACP technology was developed at the University of Melbourne School of Dental Science. The complex carries calcium and phosphate as Amorphous Calcium Phosphate (ACP), enhancing remineralisation and supporting the formation of acid-resistant fluorapatite when combined with fluoride.

GC MI Paste Plus Mechanism of Action

When applied, CPP-ACP binds to:

• Dental biofilm and plaque

• Cariogenic bacteria

• Hydroxyapatite

• Surrounding soft tissues

This localised ion reservoir:

• Inhibits enamel demineralisation

• Promotes remineralisation of early enamel lesions

• Buffers plaque pH changes after acid challenges

• Enhances fluoride uptake

• Reduces dentinal hypersensitivity by occluding open tubules

• Impairs adhesion and growth of S. mutans and S. sobrinus

Warnings & Precautions

• Not suitable for patients with milk protein allergy or suspected sensitivity.

• Contraindicated in individuals allergic to benzoate preservatives.

• Use only after consultation with a dental professional.

• Packaging may vary due to manufacturer updates.
