Background
SOSTDC1, also known as USAG1, WISE, or Ectodin, is a secreted protein containing a C-terminal cystine knot-like domain. It functions as a bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) antagonist, binding BMPs and preventing their receptor interactions. This regulation of BMP signaling is critical for controlling cellular proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis in multiple tissues.
Notes
This product is intended strictly as a blocking antigen for antibody competition assays. Any other use is at the user’s risk, and commercial production is prohibited. Please contact technical support for lot-specific concentration and availability.
