£730.00
Woodpecker Fi-P & Fi-G is a cordless gutta percha obturation system combining fast heating, a bendable 0.4mm tip and 0.5mm injection needle.
The Woodpecker Fi-P & Fi-G Gutta Percha Obturation System is a combined cordless solution for efficient thermoplastic gutta percha obturation during root canal treatment.
The system combines the Fi-P Obturation Pen for controlled heating and cutting of gutta percha with the Fi-G Obturation Gun for the controlled injection of heated gutta percha into the prepared root canal.
With rapid heating, precise temperature control, a slim bendable tip and a 360° rotatable injection needle, the Fi-P and Fi-G system is designed to support efficient and controlled endodontic obturation.

Woodpecker Fi-P & Fi-G Gutta Percha Obturation System
The Woodpecker Fi-P is the heat-cutting and heating component of the system, designed for controlled manipulation of gutta percha during obturation.
The Fi-P uses a high-performance conversion system that provides rapid heating in approximately 0.2 seconds, helping reduce waiting time during the obturation procedure.
The 0.4 mm bendable tip is designed to provide improved access to narrow root canals.
Its slim profile allows the tip to penetrate deeper into restricted canal spaces, supporting controlled thermoplastic gutta percha techniques.
The Fi-P provides controlled heating to help maintain a consistent working temperature and reduce the risk of excessive heating.
The system provides seven selectable temperature settings:
These settings provide flexibility for different gutta percha materials and obturation protocols.
The Woodpecker Fi-G is designed for the controlled delivery of heated gutta percha into the root canal.
The Fi-G reaches its working temperature in approximately 15 seconds, helping reduce preparation time and keep the obturation workflow efficient.
The 0.5 mm injection needle is designed to facilitate access into the apical region of the prepared canal.
The supplied technique recommends positioning the needle approximately 3–5 mm from the apical foramen during the relevant stage of the obturation procedure.
The injection needle can rotate through 360°, allowing the clinician to adjust its orientation during the procedure.
The optimised structure is designed to provide consistent injection performance and help reduce unwanted gutta percha leakage.
The Fi-G incorporates a mechanical locking structure designed to prevent the pushing ram from moving backwards during injection.
This helps maintain consistent pressure on the heated gutta percha and is intended to reduce the formation of cavities and bubbles during delivery.
The combination of the Fi-P heat pen and Fi-G injection gun provides two complementary functions within one obturation system.

Woodpecker Fi-P Gutta Percha Obturation System
Designed for:
Together, the two devices provide a streamlined solution for clinicians using thermoplastic gutta percha techniques.
The Woodpecker Fi-P & Fi-G system is designed for cordless operation, helping eliminate unnecessary cables around the dental operatory.
The system provides up to 4 hours of endurance, with the manufacturer stating that the battery and heating system can support up to approximately 1,500 operations on a full charge.
This makes the system suitable for repeated endodontic procedures throughout the working day.
The seven temperature settings provide flexibility when working with different gutta percha materials.
Available settings:
90°C | 120°C | 150°C | 180°C | 200°C | 230°C | 250°C
Always follow the instructions for use supplied with the selected gutta percha material and use the appropriate temperature for the material and clinical technique.

Fi-G & Fi-P Woodpecker Combined Obturation System

Woodpecker Fi-G & Fi-P Gutta Percha Obturation System
The supplied Woodpecker technique describes the following general workflow.
Select an appropriate master gutta percha cone according to the prepared root canal.
Select the appropriate Fi-P tip and insert it into the canal, maintaining approximately 3–5 mm distance from the apical foramen.
A rubber stop can be used to mark the working length.
Coat the master gutta percha cone with sealer and place it into the prepared root canal.
Insert the Obturation Pen tip into the canal and activate heating to soften and cut excess gutta percha.
Insert the tip into the canal and activate heating while advancing the tip until it reaches approximately 3–5 mm from the apical foramen.
Release the heating button while maintaining pressure against the gutta percha for approximately 10 seconds.
Activate heating for approximately one second and quickly remove the remaining gutta percha.
Use an appropriate plugger to compact the gutta percha in the canal.
The Fi-G is designed for controlled injection of heated gutta percha during the backfilling stage.
Place the Fi-G needle against the surface of the gutta percha inside the root canal and maintain its position for approximately 3 seconds to soften the material.
Inject heated gutta percha while gradually withdrawing the needle.
The supplied technique recommends incremental filling rather than filling the entire canal with a single injection.
Each injection should not exceed approximately 4 mm.
Use a suitable plugger to compact the injected gutta percha.
Repeat the injection and compaction process until the root canal has been completely filled.
Clinical procedures should always be performed according to the manufacturer’s instructions for use and the clinician’s training and preferred obturation protocol.
Approximately 0.2-second heating helps provide rapid response during gutta percha cutting and thermoplastic manipulation.
Approximately 15-second heating reduces preparation and waiting time before injection.
The narrow bendable tip is designed to improve access to restricted canal anatomy.
Designed for controlled heated gutta percha delivery into the prepared canal.
Provides flexibility in needle positioning during injection.
Multiple temperature options provide flexibility for different gutta percha materials and clinical protocols.
The mechanical locking structure helps prevent backward movement of the pushing ram during injection.
Cordless operation provides greater freedom of movement during endodontic treatment.
Up to 4 hours of operation according to the supplied product specifications.
